Nashik, Sept. 8 -- A eleven-year-old boy died in a leopard attack at Panchale village in Sinnar taluka of the district last evening.
According to the forest department, the deceased was identified as Sarang Ganesh Thorat (11).
On Sunday evening, Sarang and his sister were playing in the courtyard of their house. A leopard who hid behind the house suddenly came out and assaulted the boy, grabbing him by the neck and dragged him to a Maize field and killed him.
The boy, who was seriously injured in the attack, was immediately admitted to Sinnar Rural Hospital. However, the doctors declared him brought dead before treatment. This incident has spread an atmosphere of fear in the Panchale area.
