Shimla, Feb. 24 -- Panic gripped shepherds grazing their livestock in forested pastureland near Nahan, the district headquarters of Sirmaur district, after a fully grown leopard attacked sheep and goats in broad daylight on Tuesday morning .
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when shepherds had taken their flocks to graze in nearby jungle areas. A leopard suddenly emerged from the forest and attempted to prey on the animals.
However, the shepherds' dogs sprang into action and confronted the big cat.
