Leh/Srinagar, Oct. 6 -- Leh Apex Body (LAB) co-chairman Chering Dorjay today claimed that the situation in Ladakh is far from normal and urged the government to immediately lift restrictions and release those detained to restore public confidence.
Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance(KDA) have been spearheading an agitation for the last four years for statehood restoration and constitutional safeguards for Ladakh. Both groups withdrew from the talks with the Centre following last week's violence that left four dead and over 100 injured.
