New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday indicated that the legislative option is open for the Government to deal with the anomalies in the National Register of Citizens after the final publication of the NRC list on August 31.
Soon after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah here, Mr Sonowal said: "Assam government, in cooperation with the Centre, will ensure peaceful publication of the NRC on August 31 as mandated by the Supreme Court and I hope that the people of Assam will cooperate like they have done in the past when the draft NRC was published".
