Pune, Feb. 10 -- Amid growing concerns over indiscipline in the legal fraternity, professional ethics must be given equal importance alongside skill-based legal training, said Adv. Harshad Nimbalkar, who has been elected Chairman of the Maharashtra and Goa Bar Council for a third consecutive term.
Addressing a felicitation function on Tuesday, the Pune-based senior criminal lawyer, said the recent incidents involving advocates have made it imperative to strengthen ethical education in law. While the Bar Council has initiated steps in this direction, he stressed that law colleges must also take responsibility for inculcating professional values and discipline among students.
