Imphal, June 26 -- Five Left parties will support a countrywide strike called on July 9 by various trade unions, according to a joint statement issued here today by the parties.
The statement said the five Left parties extended full support to the countrywide general strike called on July 9 by the joint platform of trade unions, comprising 10 Central Trade Unions (CTUs) and independent all India sectoral federations and associations of employees of state governments, banks, BSNL, postal, insurance, transport, schools, colleges and university teachers.
