Canberra, July 14 -- Australian Treasurer Jim Chalmers says he is not concerned about the accidental publication of advice that recommended the federal government raise taxes.



The confidential advice, which was prepared by the independent Treasury and provided to the governing Labor Party following the May 3 general election, was mistakenly sent to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and published on Monday.

It advised the government that it must find additional taxation revenue and reduce spending in order to achieve a "sustainable" federal budget.
