Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 18 -- The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has demanded a probe into a leaked CPI (M) letter which, according to reports, exposed the diversion of funds from a government scheme.

KPCC President Sunny Joseph MLA said that even a complaint submitted to the CPI(M) Polit Bureau becoming public was evidence of "the rot and decay within the party."

He alleged that the letter pointed to financial dealings between CPI(M) leaders and a Malayali expatriate businessman, with allegations also raised against the party's State Secretary, M.V. Govindan.
