Bengaluru, March 20 -- Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Friday said a leadership change under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is "inevitable," citing rising factionalism within the ruling Congress ahead of by-elections in Davangere South and Bagalkot Assembly constituencies.
Addressing the media, Vijayendra alleged that internal divisions in the Congress have reached a peak, with increasing pressure for a leadership shift.
He also referred to ongoing speculation about a power-sharing arrangement within the party, suggesting that internal tensions could soon force a decision on the chief ministership.
He said the announcement of by-elections could delay immediate developments, but underlying tensions within the government remain unresolved.
