Puducherry, Feb. 23 -- Leaders and Volunteers of left parties in the Union Territory on Tuesday held a demonstration near Anna Square here to condemn the Opposition parties N R Congress, BJP, and AIADMK for allegedly toppling the Congress-DMK government headed by Mr V Narayanasamy.
The leaders alleged that it was a mockery of democracy by providing voting rights to nominated members from the BJP and the saffron party had allegedly "purchased" Congress legislators.
They urged the people to reject defectors to save democracy and Puducherry.
Leaders and volunteers of the Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (Msrxist-Leninist) participated in the demonstration.
