New Delhi, Oct. 16 -- Unidentified men on a motorcycle allegedly opened fire at a lawyer in Dayalpur, which lies in the northeast of the city, while he was heading to court, Delhi Police said today.
A police officer said the victim, a 30-year-old man, identified as Shrikant, sustained injuries but remained conscious and drove himself home to the Jauhari Pur area.
The lawyer's family informed the police at Karawal Nagar station around 8:30 am, while neighbours rushed him to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. "He was admitted to GTB Hospital for treatment. Doctors are currently attending on him, and his condition is reported to be stable," said a senior police officer.
