Aizawl, June 1 -- Two Myanmar nationals from Rakhine state, who were trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building in Lawngtlai town late Friday night, have been rescued and are currently receiving medical care at the district hospital, sources in Lawngtlai confirmed on Sunday.

The two victims, identified as Gaw Nang Thoi (44) and Mawng Te Hlah (44), were staying at a small hotel housed on one floor of the ill-fated building. According to rescuers, Gaw Nang Thoi was pulled out from the debris around 10 AM on Saturday, while his companion, Mawng Te Hlah, was extricated from a three-layer pile of rubble around 7:45 PM the same evening.
