Lucknow, May 23 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Singh on Friday directed to launch an intensive campaign for effective control of mastitis disease in dairy animals.
During a meeting regarding the control of mastitis, the Chief Secretary said that by preparing an action plan for extensive publicity, information about the SOP prescribed for prevention of the
disease should be conveyed to the livestock farmers.
"A policy should be formulated by the Animal Husbandry Department regarding standardisation and quality of animal feed," he said.
Emphasising on making livestock farmers aware, he said that on seeing symptoms of mastitis, livestock farmers should immediately contact the veterinary doctor.
