Belem, Nov. 7 -- Several Latin American leaders sharply criticised US President Donald Trump for his anti-green, anti-climate change stance during the opening day of the COP30 UN climate summit in Belem, Brazil, on Thursday, accusing him of spreading misinformation, and threatening future generations by denying reality, and undermining global climate action.

The COP30 summit in Belem, which runs for two weeks, has drawn representatives from nearly 200 nations seeking to advance global commitments to cut emissions and limit warming.
