Mohali, Sept. 22 -- The final rites of renowned Punjabi music composer Charanjit Singh Ahuja, aged 74, will be performed today at 1 pm at the Balongi cremation ground in Mohali.
Ahuja, who had been battling cancer for a long time, passed away at his residence yesterday.
Ahuja leaves behind three sons, with his eldest, Sachin Ahuja, a well-known name in the Punjabi music industry, running his own music studio.
The news of Charanjit Singh Ahuja's demise prompted an outpouring of grief from prominent figures, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, singer Diljit Dosanjh, actress Nirmal Rishi, and singer Master Saleem, among others.
