Giridih, Sept. 25 -- In a major breakthrough against Naxal activities in Jharkhand, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel recovered a large cache of arms and explosives during a joint operation in Giridih district.
The operation, conducted on the basis of intelligence inputs, targeted hideouts in the Satkira and Parasnath hills under Madhuban police station limits.
According to Giridih Superintendent of Police Vimal Kumar, special search operations were carried out in Jokai Nala and Chirwabeda areas, leading to the seizure of one SLR rifle, one 3.3 rifle, 113 live cartridges, two magazine pouches, nearly 700 meters of codex wire, and 23 detonators, along with other explosive materials.
