Imphal, July 2 -- A massive landslide struck a crucial section of the Kohima-Mao road (NH-02) at Phesama, Nagaland, severely disrupting the movement of essential goods and passenger vehicles bound for Manipur. The landslide, which occurred between Chainage 192.050 km and 192.150 km, has rendered the route impassable, raising logistical concerns in both states, said A K Sinha, Principal Secretary (Works). The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) is undertaking restoration efforts at the affected site near Km. 192, he said.
