Lahaul-Spiti, June 4 -- The district witnessed temporary disruption in vehicular movement on Wednesday afternoon after a landslide blocked the vital Sansari-Killar-Tindi-Tandi (SKTT) road near Tindi following recent snowfall and inclement weather in the region.

According to sources in the District Police, the landslide occurred around 3 PM, cutting off movement along the strategic mountain route frequently used by locals, tourists and supply vehicles. Restoration work was swiftly initiated, and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) was alerted for immediate clearance.

"Due to a landslide near Tindi, the SKTT road was temporarily closed. Commuters were advised to avoid the route until clearance was completed," said a police advisory earlier ...
