Lucknow, Nov. 29 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to increase land acquisition rates in Noida and Greater Noida.

This decision comes after persistent demands from farmers, who argued that the current rates are significantly lower than market prices.

Currently, the government-fixed rates in Gautam Buddha Nagar are Rs 5,100 per square meter in Noida, Rs 4,100 per square meter in Greater Noida, and Rs 4,300 per square meter in Yamuna City. The prolonged stagnation of these rates has led to growing dissatisfaction among farmers.

According to government sources, the government is considering increasing the rates in Noida to Rs 9,000 per square meter and in Greater Noida to Rs 7,000 per square meter. Howev...
