Sydney, Nov. 23 -- India's top-ranked men's singles shuttler Lakshya Sen clinched his sixth career BWF World Tour title, and his first of the season, by winning the Australian Open 2025 in commanding fashion on Sunday.

According to Olympics.com, Sen, needed 38 minutes for a clinical 21-15, 21-11 victory over world No. 26 Yushi Tanaka of Japan in the final of the BWF Super 500 tournament. This was the first head-to-head meeting between the two shuttlers.

Sen's triumph in Sydney is his first BWF World Tour title since the Syed Modi International in December last year.
