Hyderabad, Dec. 11 -- Lake Shore, one of India's prominent retail real estate developers, on Thursday launched its sixth mall - the Lake Shore Y-Junction - in Hyderabad. Built with an investment of around Rs 1,200 crore, the new property is positioned as one of the city's largest retail and entertainment destinations.

Speaking at a press conference held at the mall, Lake Shore Co-Founder and CEO Ashwin Puri said Hyderabad has long been a priority market for the company.

He recalled that the team began exploring opportunities in the city as early as 2017-18 and noticed that while major retail infrastructure was concentrated in HITEC City and the Financial District, large parts of the city remained underserved.
