Bengaluru, May 26 -- BJP Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya on Monday lashed out at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for skipping the recent NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, alleging that the Congress government has prioritised personal engagements over critical national forums.
In a strongly-worded statement, Siroya claimed that Siddaramaiah gave the meeting a miss to attend functions in his home district Mysuru. "What was more important?" he questioned, stating that not only did the CM abstain, but the Congress government also failed to send any representative.
