Leh, Oct. 3 -- With the normal life limping back to normalcy in Ladakh, Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta today chaired a high-level security review meeting in Leh, stressing the need to couple peace with accelerated development across the union Territory.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Director General of Police Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal, and senior civil, police, and central armed police force officers.
Officers briefed the Lt Governor on the overall law and order situation, reporting that the day remained peaceful across the union Territory. They said that peace and normalcy have been effectively restored with the wholehearted cooperation of the public, an official spokesman added.
