Rampur (UP), Sept. 9 -- One labourer was killed while five others received critical burns after they came in contact with a high-tension wirein the Bilaspur area of Rampur district today during preparations for a religious procession in the Naveen Mandi area.

Workers were erecting a large iron gate to welcome the Nagar Kirtan procession in honour of Guru Tegh Bahadur when the gate suddenly came in contact with an 11,000-volt high-tension power line.
