Los Angeles, May 9 -- The historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the Stadium in Inglewood will share the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, organizers announced.

With the two venues sharing the Olympics opening ceremony on July 14, 2028, it will mark the third time the Coliseum has staged this event - the only stadium to claim that feat in Olympic history - and will represent the first Olympic use of the Stadium in Inglewood.

The Games' closing ceremony will take place at the Coliseum on July 30.
