Kuwait City, July 29 -- OPEC+ decisions are made based on the latest developments and Kuwait supports its efforts to ensure stability in the oil market, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Tuesday, citing Kuwaiti Oil Minister Tareq Al-Roumi.
The official also said he was optimistic about the fundamental aspects of the oil market, adding that OPEC+ efforts aim to ensure energy security and maintain market balance, the news agency said.
On Monday, the JMMC called on countries that had not fulfilled their obligations under the alliance's oil production agreement to submit updated plans to compensate for overproduction by August 18. The committee did not recommend changing the current parameters of the oil production agreement.
