Patna, Sept. 5 -- Former union Minister and Rashtriya Lok Morcha president Upendra Kushwaha today called for fair and population-based delimitation in 2026, arguing that Bihar and northern states had been unfairly deprived of adequate representation for decades.
Addressing his party rally organised for "Constitutional Rights Delimitation Reform"Kushwaha said here that his politics was centered on reform and transformation, not on personal positions of power.
He claimed that the freezing of delimitation in 1976 had caused lasting damage to Bihar, notingthat the state would have had around 60 Lok Sabha seats instead of 40 if the process had been conducted on population grounds.
