Bengaluru, Jan. 5 -- union minister H D Kumaraswamy on Monday launched a sharp attack on Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, claiming he would be the last Congress chief minister of the state, while also demanding a CBI probe into the Ballari incident.
Addressing the media here, Kumaraswamy held the Karnataka government responsible for the chain of events that led to the violence in Ballari.
He said the root cause of the incident was the installation of a statue of Maharshi Valmiki, and cited newspaper reports claiming that the state government had not granted permission for installing any statue at the site.
