Kullu/Shimla, Oct. 2 -- World famous International Kullu Dussehra festival, the Mahakumbh of the Gods, commenced on Thursday evening at the historic Dhalpur Maidan with the grand Rath Yatra of Lord Raghunath.
Thousands of people, including Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, witnessed this grand festival. Around 100 deities were also present during the Rath Yatra at the Rath Maidan. More than 300 deities are participating in this festival, which began with Lord Raghunath's Rath Yatra. By late Wednesday evening, more than 200 of them had settled in their temporary camps in Dhalpur. This year, the Dussehra Utsav Samiti had invited 332 deities.
