Hyderabad, Aug. 11 -- BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) today hit back at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, saying the central government's figures in Parliament had exposed the Congress's "false propaganda" on state debt.
In a statement here, KTR said the Centre confirmed that Telangana's debt under the BRS government was Rs 3.5 lakh crore, not Rs 8 lakh crore as alleged.
He asserted that the loans were used to build long-term assets like Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, and the Kaleshwaram Project, with the value of assets exceeding debt by over Rs 64,000 crore in 2023-24.
