Hyderabad, March 1 -- Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) president K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday took part in a padayatra along with families facing eviction due to proposed demolitions along the Musi river, beginning from KK Nagar in Hydershakote.

Several party MLAs, MLCs and senior leaders joined him during the march.

As part of the padayatra, KTR interacted with residents of Rajiv Gruha Kalpa and listened to their grievances. The victims, many of whom have been living in the area for decades, expressed anguish over the government's move to demolish houses in the name of Musi cleaning.

Addressing the gathering, KTR said pressure must be mounted on the government without allowing even a single house to be taken down.
