Hyderabad, Sept. 15 -- Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao (KTR) has filed a defamation suit in the City Civil Court, Hyderabad, against union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, seeking damages of Rs 10 crore for alleged "false, malicious, and defamatory" statements.
The suit, filed through his counsel P Viswajanani of PV Janani & Associates, also names several media houses and social media platforms that published or circulated the remarks. KTR has sought mandatory removal of the content, an unconditional public apology from the union Minister, and a perpetual injunction against further defamatory publications.
