Hyderabad, Aug. 20 -- BRS Working President K T Rama Rao today held the Congress government responsible for the ongoing urea shortage in Telangana, calling it an "artificial crisis created by misrule."
Talking to the media here, he alleged that fertilizer stocks were being diverted to the black market while farmers, including women, were forced to spend nights outside depots.
KTR demanded a White Paper on fertilizer supply, stock position and distribution, and sought a Central probe into diversions. He warned that BRS would launch statewide protests if the crisis persisted.
On the upcoming Vice Presidential election, KTR said his party would support only a candidate who ensures supply of 2 lakh metric tonnes of urea before September 9. H...
