Hyderabad, Oct. 10 -- BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) today accused the Congress government in Telangana of betraying Backward Classes (BCs) after the High Court stayed the state's GO providing 42 per cent BC reservation in local body polls.
Addressing the media, KTR said the court order exposed the government's "deception" and called the GO legally untenable.
KTR charged that the state government played politics with the BC issue - from the caste census to the issuance of the GO - and described the move as a publicity gimmick meant to delay local body elections.
