Bengaluru, Jan. 4 -- Former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai today alleged that the state government is misleading poor daily wage labourers by spreading false information about the G-Ram-G Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

Addressing the issue, Bommai said that under the earlier NREGA scheme, workers were guaranteed 100 days of employment annually, which has now been increased to 125 days under the G-Ram-G scheme.

He stated that the Gram Panchayats themselves would decide how to distribute these 125 days, but the state government was creating fear among labourers by falsely projecting that the central government would make this decision.
