Bengaluru, Jan. 30 -- The Karnataka High Court on Thursday granted an interim stay on the proceedings of a case filed under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against Infosys co-founder S Krish Gopalakrishnan and 17 faculty members of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

The case, initiated by former professor D Sanna Durgappa, alleges wrongful dismissal and caste-based discrimination.

The petitioners, led by Gopalakrishnan, sought to quash the case.

Justice SR Krishna Kumar, while passing the interim order, directed that all further proceedings, including the investigation in Crime No. 17/2025, be stayed until the next hearing date.
