Shillong, March 20 -- The Khasi Students' Union (KSU) on Thursday warned the Meghalaya government not to take any decision regarding the introduction of Railways into the Khasi-Jaintia hills until the Inner Line Permit (ILP) is introduced.

"The KSU and its members are ready to fill the jails in protest if the government tries to bulldoze its way to introduce a railway line in the Khasi-Jaintia hills in the absence of effective and strong anti-influx mechanisms like the ILP," KSU President Lambokstar Marngar said while addressing a meeting commemorating the 47th foundation day of KSU existence.
