Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 30 -- Kerala moved closer towards introducing a unified e-ticketing system for cinema theatres, with the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) and the Digital University of Kerala signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop the software for the initiative.
The government-backed project, aimed at ensuring transparency and efficiency in film exhibition, will make KSFDC the nodal agency for the operation of the new digital ticketing platform.
The system will cover all cinema theatres across the state and is scheduled to become fully operational by February 2026.
