Belagavi, Dec. 10 -- Former India fast bowler and incumbent KSCA President Venkatesh Prasad on Wednesday warned that Karnataka's cricketing heritage was being eroded and the patience of fans stretched to the limit.

His comments came hours after a Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) delegation met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on the sidelines of the state assembly winter session here to press for revival of cricket matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The matches were stopped after a stampede outside the stadium on June 4 this year left 11 fans killed and 56 others injured during the celebrations by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) of their first IPL title.
