Bengaluru, Nov. 29 -- Former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad on Saturday welcomed the recent order of the Karnataka High Court, expressing his readiness to contest the upcoming Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) elections.
In a press statement, Prasad said, "With this clarity now in place, I am fully prepared to contest the upcoming KSCA elections."Prasad is set to contest the KSCA presidency against KN Shanthkumar, following the Karnataka High Court's decision to clear Shanthkumar's name for the elections. Earlier, the Election Officer had rejected Shanthkumar's candidature over unpaid arrears.
