Hyderabad, Aug. 13 -- Rajya Sabha Member and National BC Welfare Association President R Krishnaiah met Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today, urging immediate clearance of pending fee reimbursements for 14 lakh BC, SC and ST students pursuing BTech, MTech degree and PG courses across Telangana.
The meeting, which lasted about 30 minutes, highlighted the severe hardships faced by students due to non-payment of dues.
Krishnaiah said that college managements were pressuring students to pay fees, withholding certificates from graduates, and in some cases, students who secured jobs-both in India and abroad-were losing opportunities as they could not produce necessary documents.
