New Delhi/Hyderabad, Dec. 5 -- Rajya Sabha MP and National BC Welfare Association president R Krishnaiah on Friday held the Telangana government responsible for the death of Sai Ishwar Chari, who succumbed to injuries after a suicide attempt in protest against the non-implementation of 42 per cent reservation for Backward Classes.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Krishnaiah said Ishwar Chari's death reflects the deep hurt and despair felt across BC communities.

"The government's failure to implement 42 per cent BC reservation has pushed thousands of young people into depression. This is nothing short of a government-led death," he alleged.
