Patna, July 16 -- In a bid to bolster voter awareness, the Bihar Election Department has appointed actor Kranti Prakash Jha and film actress Neetu Chandra as State Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) icons of Bihar.
Sources at the election office said here today that the appointments were made after approval from the Election Commission. They will boost the ongoing SVEEP campaign, which aims to promote electoral literacy and encourage greater voter participation across the state.
