Kannur, Sept. 12 -- Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Sunny Joseph, MLA condoled the death of former KPCC president and United Democratic Front (UDF) State convenor P P Thankachan (86), who died while undergoing treatment for a respiratory ailment in a hospital at Aluva, on Thursday.
Mr Sunny Joseph said in a statement here, "the demise of a senior leader PP Thankachan is a great loss to the Congress movement."He also announced a three-day State mourning in honour of Thankachan's memory.
Mr Sunny said "Veteran leader PP Thankachan was one of the prominent leaders of the Congress in Kerala. I shared a long association with him."He had served as the DCC president during the tenure of P P Thankachan as KPCC president. During...
