Patna, March 28 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that
the Kosi Mechi Intra-State Link Project was in the interest of the farmers and will prove to be a milestone in the field of irrigation.
Extending his gratitude to the Prime Minister for including the project under
Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana- Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (PMKSY-AIBP), Chaudhary said here on Friday that the project to be made at an expenditure of Rs6,282.32 crore, including Rs.3,652.56 crore central assistance to Bihar, would boost the agricultural productivity and would give a major respite to the farmers.
After completion of this project by March 2029 the irrigation facility would increase in Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj, Katiha...
