Hyderabad, Sept. 9 -- Telangana Roads, Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today said that all pending irrigation projects in the erstwhile Nalgonda district are being expedited, expressing confidence that farmers' long-pending demands for water will soon be met.
Speaking at a review meeting on joint Nalgonda district irrigation projects held at Jala Saudha, the Minister said it was a positive development that State Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy also hails from the same district.
Recounting his efforts in 2005, Komatireddy said he had convinced the then Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to launch the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel project.
