Hyderabad, Aug. 5 -- Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy met Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Tuesday and discussed pending national highway approvals and the expansion of key road projects in the state.

Several Telangana MPs were also present during the meeting.

During the meeting, Komatireddy highlighted the urgent need to widen the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway (NH-65) from Malkapur to Vijayawada (Amaravati) to six lanes and construct service roads, citing frequent accidents on the stretch, which has earned the name "Death Road."
