Kolkata, April 25 -- City's first NRI multi-speciality medical facility- Ruby General Hospital- on Friday marked its 30th foundation year and decided to expand its bed capacity to 500 by 2025, founder chairman Dr. Kamal K Dutta said. Then chief minister Jyoti Basu inaugurated the hospital on this day in 1995 as the maiden NRI multi-speciality medical facility in eastern India and later Nobel laureate Mother Teresa unveiled the cardiac surgery unit and Mother Teresa ward on October 27 in the same year.
