Kolkata, Nov. 1 -- Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, was honoured with the Maritime Excellence Award in the Heritage Category at the prestigious India Maritime Week 2025-Mumbai, recognising its long-standing contribution to India's maritime growth and its rich cultural legacy.
The award was presented by union ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Shantanu Thakur, to Kolkata Port chairman Rathendra Raman at a glittering ceremony recently.
Senior officials of the port witnessed the proud moment and celebrated this significant achievement that reflects SMPK's enduring legacy, collective dedication, and continued pursuit for maritime excellence.
