Kolkata, July 5 -- The port authorities, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port-Kolkata, have formally lodged a complaint with the Chetla Police Station in south Kolkata after they found at least eight trees were felled within their vacant complex located on Boat Canal Road, Alipore, officials said today.
"A formal complaint has been filed with Chetla Police Station, seeking prompt intervention and action regarding these incidents of illegal trespassing and unauthorised tree felling," SMP spokesman Sanjay Kumar Mukherjee said.
